This is the 3rd Edition .
It was a joyful thing today August 25, 2025 as IDE DC ODENIGBO FOUNDATION EMPOWERS 37 WOMEN from Umudioka
The women who were carefully selected across all villages in Umudioka based on conditions given by the foundation were very happy and promised to invest the money in their various businesses.
They promised never to misappropriate the money meant to support their busineses or start up a new one.
The women were seen shedding tears of joy as they received the cash and took turns to pray for Ide DC Odenigbo foundation.

In his opening remarks, Chief (Hon) Uchenna Malobi, PhD, the coordinator, Of Ide DC Odenigbo foundation, welcomed everyone present and went on to list some of the projects Ide DC Odenigbo foundation executed in Umudioka in recent time, ranging from but not limited to scholarship grants to students of St. Anthony’s group of Schools, Umudioka, installation of ultra modern solar powered street lights from Umudioka Townhall and stretched to Uruagu through mandodge road, empowering of 15 Umudioka women with a business grant on 4th January, 2024 with the sum of N100,000 each, another business grant to 15 women on 26th August 2024 with the sum of N200,000 each and now empowerment of 33 women with another business grant N200,000 each. He stated that what we now see as Ide DC Odenigbo foundation is a legacy they inherited from their late parents as people always testify how late Ide DC Odenigbo and his late wife always make sure that the poor and need were in the society. He concluded that the sum Seven million naira ( N7,000,000 ) is ready for disbursement to the selected women.
Rev. Canon Dan Okeke, the priest in charge of St. Peter’s Anglican Church Umudioka was also present to motivate and pray for the women. He prayed that God will bless the money to multiply when put to use.
Rev. Canon Dan extensively prayed for all members of Ide DC Odenigbo foundation and prayed that God will continue to enlarge their coast.
In his closing remarks, the president general of Umudioka community, Chief (Hon) Onyechi Adinnu appreciated the wonderful contributions of Odenigbo family to the growth of Umudioka and prayed for more blessings upon them. He admonished the women to be steadfast and put the money into proper use.
Highlight of the occasion was the award of N100,000 each to 4 women that have benefited earlier and judiciously made use of the money with evidence all courtesy of the foundation.
